Immigration firm: from 181 to 3,020 organic clicks a quarter

How a Toronto immigration practice grew from 181 to 3,020 organic clicks a quarter by rebuilding its website around a topical map.

3,020organic clicks, 3 months

This is an Ontario client. Results vary by market, practice area and competition.

The situation

An experienced Toronto immigration practice handling Express Entry, sponsorship, permits, inadmissibility and humanitarian applications. Its website had a few catch-all pages that tried to rank for everything, so Google ranked it for almost nothing.

What we did

Instead of writing more blog posts, we rebuilt the site around a topical map with four clusters: permanent residence, temporary residence, complex cases, and local relevance. Each cluster got a hub page, dedicated subpages and FAQs, all tightly linked. Then we used Search Console data every month to decide where to push next.

The result

  • 3,020 Google clicks in the latest three months, up from 181
  • 373,000 impressions, up from 15,400
  • Page one average position held while impressions grew 24x
These figures are clicks and impressions from Google Search Console, not unique visitors.

What this means for a Montréal immigration firm

A Montréal topical map needs an extra layer: Quebec programs like the CSQ, CAQ and Arrima alongside federal ones, in French and English. See immigration lawyer SEO in Montréal.
